Fariba (Macquarie University, Australia)
embracing the abundance
twinkling at the shrill sound of crow
looming from a hazy mist
is breathing an ambience that could be stretched, but deep short,
is seizing what our glances are deprived from, long time ago.
accumulating the withered cold leaves
lingering in the greenness of the grass,
chanting a melody with harpist lark,
It is tickles on your calves, sparkles of your eyes,
it lives within the moments,
it may caress your soul
may not be heard any more.
Fariba is enrolled in the MPhil English program at Macquarie University. She lives in Sydney with her husband, and came to Australia from Iran in 2003. She has also published poetry in both Turkish and Persian.
