things i keep
sydney khoo (University of Technology, Sydney, Australia)
there’s a crack in the ceiling
that drips rainwater when it storms
i keep a bucket underneath
collecting sorrow
like stamps
souvenirs
there are some cracks
in the ceiling
that can’t be fixed
when the rains knock
let the water in
drip life into your thirsty skin
like all things that breathe
you are
still growing
plants
